Holistic Health takes a different approach from traditional medicine by considering the “whole person” rather than concentrating on a particular body part or specific disease. With a holistic approach, symptoms are viewed as signals that something is requiring attention, rather than the symptom being the primary problem itself. You can address chronic headaches with pain relievers, but wouldn’t it be better to explore the cause of the headaches that need to go away?

Some people refer to Holistic Health as “Common Sense Health.” I couldn’t agree more. Prevention is a priority, and as a Holistic Nutritionist, I not only educate my clients on the best ways to prevent dis-ease, but even more importantly, how to take their current state of health and strive for optimal health which can result in increased energy and an overall feeling of wellbeing. Often times this can be achieved with small changes in one’s diet and lifestyle. Other times it’s a more involved journey. Either way, significant results can be achieved if one is open to making the right choices.

Indole-3 Carbinol

Indole-3 Carbinole is a naturally occurring compound found in cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, brussels sprouts, and cabbage. Clinical trials involving human volunteers demonstrate that I3C has the ability to promote healthy 2-hydroxyestrone and 16- alphahydroxyestrone metabolism, providing a potential mechanism for breast health support. It has also been shown to support cervical cell health and more recently prostate cell metabolism.
